Singing plays an important role in a child’s development. Learning a piece of information attached to a tune embeds that information more rapidly and deeply in a child’s mind, for example, many children learn the alphabets not by simply saying but singing them.
What makes singing even more beneficial and enjoyable to children is to sing together in a choir. Working together for beautiful music gives children a sense of collectiveness, helps them communicate and cooperate with peers, and encourages their imagination and creativity.
There are many benefits of children singing at an early age. Children learn to express their emotions and improve their communication skill by exercising lip and tongue movement. Singing is effective for enhancing concentration, attentiveness and memory functions. It also gets the endorphins flowing in the brain, which makes children feel joyful and increases brain’s activities.
