UCM Music Wonderland
UCM Music Wonderland is a playgroup programme for infants of 6 to 30 months' old based on the world-renowned Kindermusik programme.
UCM Music Wonderland is designed to encourage multi-sensory learning, which employs and integrates several senses at once, stimulating multiple areas of the brain. Children experience music of varying styles, genres, and cultures. They interact with other peers and engage in movement, rhythm, and vocal activities that develop far more than just music skills. Our approach to early childhood education primes children for success in school and in life.
At UCM Music Wonderland, Kindermusik educators lead children through playful, interactive music-making activities. Lessons use music to reinforce skills such as:
- phonemic awareness and literacy skills
- turn-taking and cooperative play
- social-emotional development
- body awareness and inhibitory control
The programme will also utilise different facilities in the UCM campus (such as the Library, STEAM laboratory, the Music Theatre and the Garden of Eden), for our little learners and their parents to fully enjoy the motivation and fun of learning at the "Music Wonderland", i.e. the beautiful, spacious and purpose-built environment unique to UCM.
Having fun is just the beginning.
Kindermusik is an engaging, research-based curriculum for children from birth to age seven, providing the groundwork for language, literacy, math, and social-emotional skills.
Kindermusik classes also come with:
- High quality and safety-tested instruments and manipulatives that engage children's love of music and fun
- New music, activities and games each month to keep children active and interested
- Digital access to all music and activities will be given to parents to continue the learning journey outside classroom (an additional fee of HK$100 per month applies)
